MxMap — Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your MxMap account and the personal data associated with it. MxMap is developed by Kostiantyn Halaniuk. If you have any questions, contact kostya.galanyuk@gmail.com.

How to delete your account

Option 1 — In the app (recommended)

1. Open the MxMap app and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Open Settings.
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Confirm. Your account and data are deleted permanently — this cannot be undone.

Option 2 — By e-mail (if you can no longer open the app)

Send an e-mail from the address linked to your account to kostya.galanyuk@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my MxMap account". We will verify your request and delete your account. We process such requests without undue delay, normally within 30 days.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• your profile (name, e-mail, profile photo, bio, motorcycles, and any contact details you added);
• your account identifier and sign-in association (Google / Apple);
• your recorded races and their telemetry (GPS trail, lap times, jumps, speed, heart rate);
• photos and videos you uploaded;
• your push-notification token and app settings.

What data is retained

• Posts and comments you wrote stay visible in the app so that conversations remain intact for other users, but they are anonymised — they no longer show your name and are attributed to a "deleted user". If you want specific posts or comments removed before deleting your account, delete them in the app first, or ask us by e-mail.
• Crash and diagnostic logs are not linked to your profile and expire automatically within 90 days.
• Backups. Residual copies in our encrypted backups are removed within 90 days of deletion.
• We keep data longer than the above only where we are required to by law.

Deleting individual data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. In the app you can delete individual posts, comments, races and photos/videos at any time, or e-mail us to request partial deletion.
